FAQs
How many years of experience do you have?
I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years and have been providing clinical services for more than 15 years.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy focuses on understanding yourself, your experiences, and the patterns that shape your life. Coaching is more practical and goal-oriented. Depending on your needs, we may integrate both approaches. In my experience, meaningful goals become clearer as self-understanding grows.
Isn’t therapy for people who are weak or troubled?
Not at all. Seeking support takes self-awareness, humility, and courage. Many people come to therapy not because something is wrong with them, but because they want to grow, navigate challenges more effectively, or live more intentionally.
Why shouldn’t I just take medication?
Medication can be helpful in reducing symptoms, but lasting change often requires understanding the underlying issues and making meaningful changes in your life. Therapy can help you develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and improve overall well-being.
How long will therapy take?
Every person is different. The length of therapy depends on your goals, your commitment to the process, and the challenges you are working through.
Do you take insurance?
I am currently in-network with Aetna, Optum, and many of their affiliated plans, including UHC, AvMed, UMR, Surest, Oscar, and others. If I am out-of-network with your insurance, you may still be eligible for partial reimbursement depending on your benefits.
